That would be out of Street Machine Fords, and would be Nizpros XR6 Turbo engine if I remember correctly.

If the extractors are mild steel, by the looks of things I'd be guessing temperatures would be around the 1000c mark at it's hottest point.
Imagine what that would do to your bonnet paint. Wooo hoooo : |

Well mild steel melts at 1300c, and begins to glow white, from a bright yellow at around 1000c, so by the looks of where the manifold meets, I'd be guessing it is somewhere around there. I'm amazed the turbine and impellor haven't expanded hard against their housing, and the bearings siezed. HOT HOT HOT!! :nutsycuck |

Sorry to burst your bubble but 1000 deg C is mild steel not moulten
Going from a long lost memory but 623 deg c is the upper critical point (looses tensile) 8-950 cherry red to yellow 950 - 1150 yellow to white A long time before a puddle Now all of this is academic as we have no idea as to the exact composition The casting on the turbo is certainly not mild steel and most castings have significently more carbon or Carbon equivelent elements. this is also before looking at coatings on the metalwork yes even a scale buildup can change the way it transfers heat. Finally it would be important to know the background lighting conditions, the type of photpghraphy used etc. to establish the heat of the selected components.

Copper (which melts far quicker then steel) is resistant to 1985°F (1085°C) - so even that would resist the temp those extractors are at. Most extractors and exhaust components are made from 409 grade stainless steel, a ferritic stainless steal, which is cheap and low-melting grade, can resist 1000°C. And then you have ceramic coating...
