There is supposed to be a meteorite that is supposedto skirt/possibly hit (!) earth in around 2016 or soemthing.

Well they say we are well overdue for a big one, well overdue. That video is an impact you would expect from an object a 1/3 size of our moon. The dinosour killer was only 6 miles in size. Look at shoemaker levy 9...a few little chunks of rock that hit jupiter, with an explosion from some of the chunks of rock & ore that left a distinct mark on jupiter...it was far bigger than our planet, if that had hit earth....we wouldn't be having this little happy chat.

Yeah, we've been overdue for a big hit for a while now. We need more money to be put towards space related things so we can spread out (obviously it's not going to happen any time soon though)

I work in the space tracking industry... It is a simple fact that there are about 7 of these objects wizzing around out there that are of "concern" It can happen. It has happened before.
