mine was done at a workshop - and im glad it was, there was a stack of messin around with the electrical side of things and the number of times they had to call out the auto electrician ended up costing them more than I paid them!!!
having said that GOOD LUCK!

its a bit hard to say as the price i paid included the gearbox + motor price which was $3000 all up installed, whereas on thier own they wanted $1850 for the gearbox and $1650 for the motor not including labour (bizzare pricing, cheaper to have it installed!).
Have a good phone around as prices varied HUUUUGELY from place to place. the next cheapest I found for a conversion if I provided the parts surprisingly enough was profix for $1000!!! I would be surprised if you couldnt find somewhere to do it for under $500 in brizzy if you do the homework 1st.

there are 2 little flat plugs on the side of the manual for your reverse. the speedo is a 3 wire triangle looking plug.

the speedo one is the only plug that will match straight up, reverse switch wiring is within the big plug which also includes all the solonoids. need to look for the neutral switch wires in order to hotwire it
before you put ur pedal box in, double check all ur welds, especially the one on the clutch pedal, as that one is very common to break. its much easier to reweld it while its out of the car the sensor on the clutch pedal is for cruise control, if u do have CC, you can crosswire it to the sensor on the brake pedal or simply ignore it as for ecu u do not need to change it if u lock it into neutral.
