got my car back friday night from its flash tune. on its first run it pulled about 120rwk after spiro had finished it made 141.7rwk :
the car is an au xr8 auto with 67 on the clock with a full liverpool exhuast and then fitted with a G&D intake(well part of it still waiting for the sheild because they have run out). the car feels great to drive and cant wait for the new diff to be run so i can go wsid. : just want to thank to g&d for helping me with getting the airflter to me for tuning before the rest of the intake. also to spiro joe and everyone else at autotech. and i cant leave out richard and all the guys at craft diff. |

Well done mate, you can't go wrong at Autotech. The big Greek does a thorough job.
What series AU is it ? How does the acceleration feel down low ?

Spiro is the right man for the AU V8 tune all right.
I would have liked to see more from an XR8 myself unless this is a 185fwkw AU Series 1 model. |

Good result!
Out of curiosity is the car a series 1? as 120kW seems a little low. They all say that Spiro's dyno is conservative though which only makes your 20 odd kW gain look better. |

I alternate between those two workshops depending on what state the car is in and how much it'll cost me. They're both good.

my stock 185 au, has made 140rwkw, id just say that dyno reads low and the 1/4 will tell the story.

Spiro's dyno is what I would describe as a fair reading one. I have seen lots of Fords run there and you can bet that you will lose 50-60fwkw on this dyno depending on auto or manual. I have seen a 200fwkw XR8 run 139rwkw 220fwkw run 170rwkw. depends on auto or manual a bit and the day but a 185 on that dyno I am thinking 125rwkw is fair.

The best results are when the customer is happy and you definately sound happy. If you are tuning for a 1/4 mile then for sure the track sorts out the best and worst of all involved.

It really doesn't matter what dyno you run them on. There all gonna be different. The main thing is that there was a 21.7kw net gain, forget the final figure, its the gain that matters.

A 185kw motor should see around 125 at the treads thats all you would expect. A 200kw XR8 on the same dyno ran 139 when i was there once so it's picked up enough to be about as good as a 200kw AUII XR8 now with the exhaust and tune.
