Default AU needs new shocks. Suggestions please

The wifes AU needs some new shocks, so was wondering what others have used, how much did it cost you and suggestions on workshops in the outer S. E. Melb suburbs. Car is currently on King Superlows if memory serves me.
Thanks

Mate, have no idea about Melb but most will recommend Koni I reckon... these are widely used and liked. A class act not too many people see is Boge... even better in my opinion (might cost a few pennies more). Has been too long so I don't remember prices other than to say ring around - prices can vary wildly.

There was a thread not long ago here about this. Do a quick search here and you'll find it.

Use Pedders for the price. Boge are good but a bit pricey. Koni's are good but only if you get the Yellow ones, the fully externally adjustable ones and the prices for those are rediculous.

I used to work at Pedders if you're wondering where my info comes from.

At the moment Repco has good prices on Monroe's?

Some may say they are rubbish but ARE OE on most AU's. If you know someone that works for Repco? or maybe have a friend in the Motor trade, I would ask.
Right now I believe they are about $75.00 for rear (pair) and am not too sure about the fronts?

Hope that helps?

Yeah, good choice, that's what the ute has at the moment and rides and handles really nice. You will see the difference when you get you awesome car back. Which store are you taking it too?

The first time I heard of Boge was a few days ago, I was quoted $330 for a full set of 4 to suit lowered springs for my IRS AU, or $350 for the shortened body ones to suit super low's. I was going to go with some Monroe GT's instead (actually work out a bit dearer) but seeing you guys recon they are decent I will be getting the Boge's, now just have to decide on low or superlow.
