Hey i just bought a short gear shifter and i have no idea how to get off the boot to install it can anyone put me in the right direction

Cover a screwdriver and prise the boot off at the right spots. However, I actually found it easier to remove the whole console with the boot still attached.

There is 6 screws 2 in the front under the rubber mat 2 in the middle under the stubby holder mat and 2 on the rear near the seat belt stalks and just manouver it out and pull the air con tubes away.
That is a lot easier than trying to pull off the boot surround in 1 piece.
