Default Forum Cars

What are your favourite cars on the forums. Ones you just love to look at, admire the hard work and effort that has gone into the car, or maybe the inspiration for what your car is today.

My inspiration for the mods on my car was Mals's XR6 (HOTDBZ) Since I saw that car, i knew that was the look I wanted. I downloaded just about every picture there was of the car and look at the pics all the time. Even had the occassional picture as a wallpaper.

There have been other inspirations behind my car, the obvious being Jimt3te50. The stripes, I just had to have. I did need a push in the right direction too.

Theres a few other car's on the forums that I really admire for a number of different reasons.

Apart from Falkeens ute, the one I really like the most would have to be Micks AU XR8 ute.

There's plenty of other cars i really like, but for me, the standout would have to be either of those guys utes.

Anyway, just curious about your favourite forum cars.

This would have to be my favorite on this site
http://www.fordforums.com.au/attachm...chmentid=17066
Others are .
MINE. Because its nearly exactly the way I want a car
Falcon coupes as it just looks **** hot right colour right hieght right wheels etc
Brenx xb just because its always changing and it changes out of the square box
Protd Its the way a tuff car should look
I guess there is more but not because you look at them and go wow its because I have watched them come along in looks and performance .Just like kids great to see them all come along.
I have drawn most of my inspiration from Usa shows like rides and hotrods etc

Can i say my car
The opening post did say hard work gone into it. If you could only see my bank account and my knuckles There not what they were 12 months ago.
On the 16th of June 2005 i drove to see my new car, It was a **** heap. It had spent the last 3 years working on new estates towing mixers cement bags and 4 over grown brickys, And it was not cleaned once. When i first took the car home to who my mum i waited till it was dark, It still had bricks and nails all around in under seats in the bonnet. So 12 months on I'm very happy with the work i have done to it, It's now looking respectable and clean. The old owner only seen it last week and told me it looked like that when he first bought it of his mate in 99 he was surprised and i was very happy. I have the same Reg plate but his mates never notice it. Shows you how much respect i have for it and he didn't have any, It was just a work car.
It came to me with many things that didn't work, Door locks interior light dash light illegal lowered suspension height squashed exhaust cracked manifold injectors dead spitting what looked like oil out the exhaust (was a dead burnt out cat) 4 different wheels and tyres some 14" some 15" transmission slipping drive-line vibration (Was tailshaft) Shocking fuel economy 260km max from 70lt tank.
Fixed everything and then was able to do some personal upgrades for fun instead of fixing things that were broken, And that really made me more happy with the car. I got next year and on to do more.

Minginator and HotDBZ build-ups were both captivating reading... shame they both have had 'issues'

Recently Agony's new hot rod

I think Ill vote for slick holden, for the fact he loves his car so much that he voted for it himself.
Even being a commodore on the forum dose'nt fase him,not only that but being probably one of the ugliest, and most unreliable of that model dose'nt bother him,he loves his car and voted for it.
Then theres the colour, slick holden your a legend mate, you got no taste or car sense whatsoever, but you know what you like and I can respect that.
On second thought I just cant bring myself to vote for it sorry.
I just cant pick one car, there are too many nice ones, any of the tuff X series do it for me,especially the early hardtops.

This is a post on behalf of myself and Eamon (Cobra):

- Fairmont1998 - his EL Fairmont V8 - absolutely awesome condition, great looking car and it looks better than most cars that come out of the factory new!

- Brad's BA XR8 (XR8888/GT8888)was one of my favourites. He was XR8888 and he is now GT8888 as he now has a black BF GT. That XR8 was awesome to look at and to drive. I havent yet seen the GT yet (well we saw it in passing)....

- Mingenator - Gary. I havent seen it much in the flesh, but we both love T-series and that is the best example of one!

- SpoolMan's Typhoon!

- Cams290's ute

- Kev_xr8_ute

- Casper's AU VCT XR6 - always interesting, its a story on wheels, always evolving and keeping us entertained

- smciner1's XB GT - great colour, great sound and just tough!

- any of montyv8's cars - always good value to hear and see in action! Hehe.

Im sure there are others, because there are so many nice cars on here... Ill probably add to the list... hahaha.
