I've seen heaps of AU's around with these wheels.

If you have the premium brakes, then the minimum you can go is 17". Talk to a few of the guys with these rims. But as far as I know, they go straight on. AU/BA, same offset

i see no reason why they wont fit. AU/BA have the same off set and even if you have Premium Brakes, these rims are still 17' so they should clear.
i think ford were just telling you that in the hope you spend your money there instead.

Those wheels will fit any AU or BA with stdnard brakes. I have a Herrod brake upgrade on my ute, they have 330mm discs and I have AU2 XR 17" rims on it that fit without an issue. I've also seen shots of a BA Pursuit which had XR8 18's on it and they fitted without a problem.

Ford guys mostly have no idea about what parts fit what.

just note the add says 13,000kl's since new that must be tyres not the rims as i'm pretty sure ford only used the Dunlops SP's in this range maybe someone will know better!

ok cool

i checked for scrathes/marks and he said just a small mark on 1 rim.

there is still 5-6 mm of tread left, so im not too concerned.

Well done, merkus - I think these rims always looked better on the AU than the BA. Pretty poor form for Parra Ford to tell you that they don't fit though.

Exactly

I found out that my caster has bent :( so that needs to be done

So it is logical for me to get everything done at the same time.

Im going to lower the car by 1.25Inch, replace the springs.

Do i need to Replace the shocks as well ??? Thats another $480......

You've got the same wheels as me!!

Get the camber kit on first, or a the same time. Pedder have two styles, the old one costs about $80/side, but is a b-i-a-t-c-h to adjust. They have a new one, which I installed, with the camber adjustment on the outside so it's easer to get to. This costs about $120/side.

I dropped to XR8 height and the camber changed a bit, so even if your didn't have something bent already, you should get the camber kit installed.

I don't think you have IRS. If you do have IRS you should install the XR rear camber adjustment kit. Costs about $35/side. The part number is Part No Er5K500AKT. See this thread:

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=55659

You should replace the shocks. Even if the OEM ones fit the new springs will have completely different spring rates to what you are using, and your existing shocks won't match. If you're still running the original factory shocks they will be stuffed by now anyway.

IMO XR height is low enough for a daily driver - I still do a bit of scraping. I would post some picks so you could see how it looks with those wheels, but the car's in the panelbeaters at the moment.

I will drop her by 1.25Inch and replace the shockies too at the same time, seems to be the best thing to do.
