I saw this movie today. It's funny !!! Not one of Samuel Jacksons better films, but ok.
Great special effects where the snakes bite people and how they die !!! Would liven up any QANTAS flight!! Bet it doesn't get shown as an inflight movie!!!!! |

Would you recommend anyone to go and see it ?
I personally think it sounds absolutely pathetic and cannot justify spending money to go see it. Please let me know otherwise if its a worthwhile movie to go and see, as I instantly think of fake crap movies such as anacondas and other movies with animals that are just too crap to even mention heh. cheers martO

I can't help but laugh everytime I hear the title of that movie. It must have taken about 2 seconds for them to decide on what their new movie would be about, plus an additional second to think of a title.

Apparently Samuel L Jackson signed on the instant he heard the title, and when they wanted to change the title he wouldn't let them. You can't think of the movie as something which will be completely serious, it is inentionally a bit 'out there' so don't go to see it expecting a masterpiece worthy of an Oscar for Best Picture.

This review probably describes the whole thing best, it really was/is something of a cult movie to a degree:

I've missed all the internet hype on it and it looks pretty stupid, but I spose I can see a bit of merit in it. I'll probably go see it.

did anyone else see chasers war on everything where they took the literal value of the title to a new level?
Priscilla queen of the desert became - poofs on a bus I'd have to agree, that the movie doesn't look that good, although it could be like "lake placid" and end up being really funny. Is snakes on a plane supposed to be funny?

people on youtube were making like their own screenplays using the script, and they changed stuff, and the producers of the movie actually took those fans changes and put them in the movie, and i think one of them was for SLJ to say muth f**** twice in a sentance??? *in his usual style*

Jackson seems to think the movie is just a big mutha****** joke.
I reckon he only did it because of its stupidity.

I figured the snakes would all be computer generated ones, and some of them are, but the majority of them are real. They had a "Behind the scenes" show on Fox during the week, and it had them with literally handfuls of live snakes, putting them onto actors etc
Still looks like crap though (and wtf was that reviewer on?)... |

I saw this the other night and loved it. It's so bad it's good.
For the horror fans there's also some pretty suspenseful moments in it and the effects of some of the snakes and their bites on people is pretty cool.
