Does anyone find the fiesta seats give you bad back or are a bit hard? If so how have people dealing with the comfort factor?

I have a feeling that I'm getting neck problems from the lack of head support. Also, I never really feel confortable in the seats either, I'm always shifting to and fro. I'm really not a fan.

RE: The Fiesta's seating Basically, I feel as though I'm sitting on the seat. I really need to make sure the seat is pumped into the lowest setting it has. Then, and only then do I feel secure. But then my feet feel a little awkward. After checking out Matt's (Zetec's) Focus Mk1 Zetec the other night, I find the seating in the Fiesta ridiculous! His seats were much more comfortable and had massive side bolsters (in comparison to the Fiesta's) Have you guys ever been in the passenger seat whilst your make flogs the Fiesta? WHOA - feels like your about to go out the windscreen! You sit extremely high and don't feel secure. Especially with the lack of handles on the roof : Oh well... I guess one more reason we should have either the Zetec S or ST seats available :P

They're fine with me. No problems. But then I havent driven any other Fords. But for a $18,000-or-less small car standard, it's pretty good.

Anyways, I too have the bottom of the seat at its lowest setting and at that point its comfortable and i got used to it. From a drivers seat perspective it is not very supportive, needs more bolstering all over. Head rest i dont see anything wrong with it. Overall its a good package for the monies spent. Bring on the ST seats.

The WQ seats are not anywhere near good enough imo,....pretty hard and not at all comfortable, I put up with them and indeed I have got used to them to some degree, I did for some time play around with all the adjustments to try and make them a bit better, moving the seat backward and forwards, adjusting the back tilt and the pathetic height adjustment which of course only changes the angle of the rear support, I think in the end I pretty much gave up and must have just got used to it,.........in contrast the Suzuki Swift seats are just tops!!.........extremely comfortable and supportive, I think Ford seriously stuffed up with the seats iin the Fez and I would presume could in fact be losing sales to the competition such as Suzi because of them, having comfortable seating in a vehicle is to some people an extremely important factor in their purchasing decision.

Yeah i have heaps of problems getting comfy in a fez, sure i love buzzing around the suburban streets but when i visit my folks in the country i get a stiff back and painful knees, the two things that bother me the most on long trips is the lack of room to put your left foot and a the feather light throttle so that with no cruise i often find myself doing 130 without realising it.

i dont have a problem with them..i hate my dads AU it sucks balls you feel like your in the back seat...and they make you wanna go to sleep. alot of my driving is done at night especially on weekends...like 12 oclock at night...and i find with a hard days work or what ever im doing on the weekend that the fez seats keep me awake while im driving 1 hour to home from my gf's house......with no street lights or road signs apart from speed ones and no gutters those firm seats to the best job keeping me awake and no dozing off to fall asleep and crash into a tree or a roo.....for me they fit perfectly on my back and i dont use the head rest so it doesnt bother me...

I don't mind them at all. Sydney-Canberra and back I sat in one position the whole way without feeling the need to shift myself at all.

Ok that's two so far plus I know how tall teki is so that's 3 really... I'm just testing a theory I've cooked up reading this thread, that the people who complain about the Fiesta seats are shorter people... I'm 6'2" (190cm) and I think the seats are great.

I am approx 5'9 but the majority of lenth is is my legs not upper body. I am prone to contantly be hitting the gear stick with my knee. But the seats are fine for my purposes, tho i do recall some occasions of back pain

I find the seats very flat and need more side bolstering. I don't mind the firmer cushioning but I feel like a move around too much laterally. It also seems like the cushion raises on a pivot point so when you raise it you feel like you're being tipped out. So I too use the lowest setting.

The seats are crap.... they made all their efforts in the mechanics and appearance..... but did anyone actually sit in it when the first one was made ?? I think not.
