Default Expensive repair

Brought my XR away to get the clutch serviced today, get a call at lunchtime that the clutch is shagged and that the gearbox needs a possible rebuild! I knew it was bad but didnt think it would be this bad! They reakon worst case scenario over two grand! jeez i love my ute...

u know that they made it worse, they broke it some more then rang u..

that sounds right... better option would be a second hand gearbox, a fraction cheaper. had the same problem but with my old EA.
