Does anyone know if series 2 and 3 XR headlight covers will fit into a series 1 XR?
I saw some headlight covers advertised on e-bay, but the seller states they are for series 2 and 3. I cannot imagine the architecture around the actual light recesses being different? I know the bottom part and grille are different but not sure about the light surrounds. Anyone know |

Thanks fellas, I reckon I will put a bid in as long as the price does not go to high. Last week a brand new suit of covers went for $107.
I am not keen to drill into the front bar but the covers do look good! |

The high beam lights on the S1 are different in shape to the S2/3. It does not have the top eyebrow on the S1. I would say the outer lights (bigger) would fit but the inner lights (smaller) would have to be different. Whoosha is right.

Thanks Whoosha
you have saved me some valuable bucks. Much appreciated. It's a pity the series 1 covers are so expensive as based on e-bay prices. Probably as rare as hens teeth now. Thanks again |

The covers fit inside the housing, so the fact one has eyebrows and the other doesn't shouldn't matter. I have a set of covers, plus a series one bar and a series 2 bar, so I'll see if they fit both. If they do, they're yours for $50 if you want them (including postage). I am missing 2 screws, but they should be cheap enough to get from bunnings etc.

The series 2 ones are flatter, sort of, so series 1 ones won't fit without the application of some heat to bend the plastic (not recommended).
