Default The Chaser - APEC

http://au.news.yahoo.com/070906/2/14czx.html

These boys have big balls to pull this off.

Just shows you the APEC security isnt as fool proof as they say it is.

Funny stuff though. Cant wait to see it aired on TV.

Chasers War on Everything is a great TV show.

They deserve the Order of Australia medal for taking attention away from Turkey Slap Central and Australian ****ant.

Although they did make fools of the Australian police this stunt could have resulted in the death of many of these fools.

It has been all over the news that the secret service have the right to shoot and kill ANYONE or ANYTHING that they deem a threat with no need for explanation...

These guys should consider themselves very lucky the Aussies got to them first.....

Obviusly a risk they knew, and were willing to take. One of the reasons why I and many others have so much respect for them. At the end of the day it's all harmless. Arguably the best comedy mob ever.

Nearly fell off my chair with laughter when they apologised to the bloke that went on Today Tonight, then went on to call him a beastiologist.

They've got soo much balls.

I know how to have a good laugh, don't worry about that.

But in this case..... nup sorry.

They got up to the hotel George Dubbya is in.

I could see it now.... Secret service ask "Osama" for ID, Osama replies "Fair Dinkum!" Then it's all over lol.

It just highlights that after the millions of dollars they spend on national security, a bunch of comedians can penetrate the secure zone. Hopefully Australia's security organisations learn from this. What if it really was Osama with a boot full of explosives?

"Be alert, not alarmed"? Yeah right, after this shamozle, I'm alarmed at the incompetence of the Australian Federal Police.

They showed the weaknesses in the security measures and it's good to have the security tested I guess, however, I can't see the funny side at all.

I wouldn't have been bothered one iota if they'd been blown away by the police or the snipers situated on the rooftops...

Wokkas, you said they knew the risks and were willing to take it.... What f'wit would risk the lives of people for a bit of a laugh... ?

Hope they're still laughing in their cells - sad buggers I reckon.

Your not wrong there. The police minister or whoever was on the news saying how there was no real threat, and the fact that they were caught (eventually) was proof that the security was working.

I bet behind closed doors, some very naughty words were being said and heads will roll..... a very long distance.....

OpTrader: Whose lives were at risk other than their own?

If anyone else's lives were put at risk from this stunt, then our security organisations really do need a massive overhaul....

Don't want to blue with you Wokkas, but for the sake of discussion, how about the lives of the extras they hired to drive the cars, or the guys they paid to run alongside pretending to be security, or how about the lives of the people who may have shot them, I reckon killing a comedian over a joke gone wrong wouldn't make your life a bed of roses... and IF something had gone wrong, don't these people all have wives, girlfriends, mums, dads, kids....?

IMO those risks are simply far too great to take for the sake of a giggle. I do however think they made a good example for the security people not to take things for granted, an official convoy may not be what it seems and suicide bombers could've had this idea first.... So, not funny, but useful.
