Economy - 900kms to a tank on the freeway has been recorded a number of times by different members. Around town 500kms is not surprising at all.
Power - Same as most Falcon I6's. Pretty good but needs exhaust to wake it up a bit. Unreliably - Arguably the most reliable Falcon ever made. Overall they have had very few major issues and are relatively cheap and easy to work on when needed.

economy is dependant on your right foot. around town, you can get 500+ but you can also barely crack 400 if you are a bit of a tool.

From what i hear AU's are one of the best models that Ford ever produced.
They are so cheap in terms of mods, repairs, etc. The XR6 just has that unique look about it, personally i love the AU's but im not a huge fan on the XR6/XR8 look.

AU XR6. Underrated yet a very good, reliable and capable car. Pretty good on fuel, 900+ km's highway, 600 km's around town. Powerwise it's definitely got more top end compared with the standard AU I6's, but again plenty of aftermarket support and parts for them in just about all mechanical regards.

My BA driven sanely: about 520km.
An AU 6 which is lighter should get up to 600km of mixed driving. Get the VCT though |

You won't go wrong with the AU XR6, a great car and an improvement over the base falcons, unlike the B series.

I agree with the sentiments of those here.
I only wish I bough an XR6 this time last year instead of the SR Sedan. I like the sedan, but the XR is sooooooooo much nicer. GK
