Default Learning about engine re-building, Looking for old worn out V8's to play with

Hi all, I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me out.

Lately I have been trying to learn more about engine re-building. I have bought all the books, and now I'm hoping to find an old worn, V8 engine to have a play around on.

SO this brings me to the hunt for a cheap old V8 that I can pull down and have a play with and hopefully if it's good enough keep for one day to re-build. I'm hoping that I'd come across an old stock worn out Cleveland or Windsor or even a SBC (I know you guy's would hate to hear that).

I'm located around the south east of QLD, so if any one hears of any old engines that are ready for the dump or in an old rattler ready to be sent to the wreckers, please keep me in mind.

Thanks heaps for any help you can offer.

E-bay does seem to have cleveland 302's on a regular basis, and they go for about $400-$500
