Some car yards just assume people are stupid, I think. When I was looking around for an AU-based XR6, I saw cars at exactly the same price sporting everything from 80,000km to 220,000km. Like... who on earth would buy the latter, when the former are there for the taking at the same price? It's bizarre.

That's why they employ sales staff.

No need for staff if the car sells itself on price.

Who knows... maybe as a "special deal" they'll knock $1500 off AND fill the tank with petrol?

Not bad for a car that belonged to Nicole Kidman's brother... and that dirt on the passengers side floor may well be off HER shoes...

LOL... yeah, well, sales person or not, there's still an assumption that people are stupid.

Oh yeah, I make sure I've done all my research before I go anywhere near a caryard and so I know within five minutes of driving the thing if it's worth my while hanging around with the sales guy to strike up a deal, or just leaving right away to avoid the aforementioned headbutting moments when he starts spinning BS.

Green fairmonts are extremely rare, like as rare as thongs, hence the price
