Iv'e been reading a real interesting book lately. It's called killer next door by Joel Norris. It's a book about 7 serial killers and they were all interviewd. They describe their gory killings in great detail. Very chilling to think that these are real people and it makes you wonder, you just never know if somone you know is capable of such feats. Look it up, it's a good read. Has anyone read an interest book lately? Tell us what it's about.

I like VFL/AFL books.
I am currently re-reading the 1989 Football Year book whenever I do poo. I love reading about Gary Ablett...especially his game ~Round 10 V Collingwood where he had 38 possessions on the wing, kicked 7.4 including that brilliant one on the run. Gary Ablett is the best player I have ever seen since I started following AFL when I started school. |

Just bought Hunters of Dune - will reserve judgement until it is read. The new series dont match up to the original Frank Herbet set... The original Dune is the best book ever written in my opinion.
I am also reading a new astrophysics book that I bought which has a lot of new, freaky stuff in it. I buy a new one every few years. I am also currently reading a very large "History of Civilisations" book which traces the history of human civilisation back thousands of years to now... sounds boring but it is actually fascinating to hear how all of the religions and cultures got their start... Just finished reading some Wilbur Smith novels. And a book about the life of Queen Elizabeth I. That sounds boring too I imagine, but it was actually rather interesting.

One of the best books I have ever read (non-fiction) is the Richard Branson autobiography...that guy is amazing! Really makes you want to get up off your ar$e and do something worthwhile...he started off with NOTHING!
I love the Rebus books by Ian Rankin (Scottish crime author)...its my favourite series of fiction books....

I'm about a quarter of the way through "Unsinkable" The full story of the RMS Titanic.
It's a real page turner, but I love any literature on The Titanic so I'm a little biased.

mindhunter by john douglas,
hes the guy that invented fbi profiling, or perfected it anyway. its amazing how they can pick the type of car a serial killer drives, his age, race, what sort of job they have, whether they've got a gf and heaps of other crap just from studying the crime scene. |

Currently I'm reading "100 Great Businesses and the minds behind them" which is so far pretty good.
My favorite books would have to be George Orwell - Animal Farm Stephen King - Pet Semetary Chuck Palahniuk - Haunted Give any of them three a read they are all awesome. Also if you want to get any books you can't find anywhere give me a PM and I should be able to get one for you. |

Plenty. I just re-read Watchmen recently (It's a comic book, but it's good. Extremely good. Comic books for grown ups, basically.)
I've also started ambling through the Dune series (for the 2nd/3rd time) and Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Also I've been intending to reread the The Dark is Rising Sequence, since I hear they're making a movie.

Robert G. Barrett books are awsome. I loved davo,s little something there was some talk about it becoming a movie. But having heard anything lately. And how cool is Les Norton what a life that guy has. Untill my mate put me on to these books I had never read a whole book from start to finish. If you like the good Australian way of life you will like these book with the right mix of humour, romance & punch ons. :jab: |

Into Matthew Reilly at the moment - top Aussie author. But I'll read just about anything - too lazy to go to the library though at the moment...
