N3rd orientated question...
My headunit will accept USB mass storage devices, and currently I am using a 2GB usb drive. I have thoughts of using an external hard drive (20-40GB) as a usb mass storage device, wired into the car for power. I have a current HDD in an external enclosure, which has requirements for 12v and 5v inputs. I think that would also be a problem.. Any thoughts?

Was going to say that I thought all external HDD's were recognised as mass storage, even Ipods....
