Default 750 rwkws from an au six as a goal.

As I have posted..I am thinking about turboing the wagon. This project is going to be a few years in the making and I am wondering what it would take for the wagon to destroy 11 second typhoons and nissan gtr godzillas.

I am thinking 750 rwkws is a nice target. The bottom end may cop a destroke with chrysler crank to make it 245 for balance.Estimated rpm will be around 8000 - 9000 rpm.Everything will be strengthened What sort of dollars will it take do guys think?

I am thinking to start with the auto...a full rebuild with all the nice jewelry to cope. At least if the current box breaks then I can whack in the new box.
Suspension and brakes will be upgraded to au2 with the best that money can buy. At least I can work on that as I ultimately decide to if this is viable.

Whats your take on this? Can it be done?

To beat 11 second cars you dont need 750rwkw. To beat them on the street in a RWD wagon is a big ask. 350awkw will own 600rwkw on the street.

Tone it down a bit and go for 500 IMO. You need to compromise between power and boost response. I am having a 1000hp GT51R delivered this week for $2400.

Lots and lots of money will be needed. Powerglide or T400 for that kind of power. I think custom cranks are like $4K. Do you know if the chrysler crank will fit?

Full engine rebuild with tougher components, say around $15k. Auto rebuild around $5k for something decent, plus brakes at around $5k for brembos or the like, then you may need some chassis boxing/strengthening etc. Somewhere between $25k to $35k would be the sort of money you are looking at. See if you can get it as maintenance on a lease and have it all tax deductible!

This sounds like a very expensive exercise...However a piece from here and a piece from there should see it all come together slowly.

750rwkw from a Ford I6 is impossible, end of story.

The block wont take it.

Well whats the most an au engine can take with a decompression plate fitted and a decent head? How much can the block take? 9? 14?20 or 30 psi of boost?

Nizpro have got a "Grenade spec" B series block in the low 500kw range. Theres not much more there.

To be drivable you are looking at a MAXIMUM of mid 400rwkw.

747's make 1000's of flights to 35000 feet too, I'm yet to see one land on the moon though.

Because the block is made of iron, not titanium. It will grenade, the block simply is not able to support that sort of power irrespective of setup.

Ridiculous power indeed, you may make those kind of numbers for a second or two, but then spend long hours picking up the shrapnel.

This is assuming you don't have a large piece lodged in your forehead of course.

Effectively you are looking for 1000hp.. I do not believe there is a drivable I6 in the world making that sort of power.
