I can honestly say it would be worth modding your car and driving it less simply to be with Shannons

I'm with AAMI. Previously RACV.

RACV have made a claim with RACV. They were quite good. Pretty much handled everything for me. All I basically had to do was call up, make the claim, ask if it was going to be fixed and in the end, they wrote it off and sent me a cheque with no fuss.

I wont go back to a couple of the bigger insurance companies.

They screw the repairer down so much he can only do a crappy job, or worse they get dodgy repairer who shouldn't be allowed near a car to do the work.

I had to take a car back 5 times to get it fixed to a decent standard, they keep giving the car back to same dodgy repairer. I sold the car as soon as I got it back because it was looking pretty worn after spending so much time in the shop.

I am with Budget now and have made a claim, I chose the repairer and was looked after very well. Even with a mark against my no claims bonus they were still cheaper that the others.

Shannons for the ute and NRMA for the landrover, havent made a claim with shannons and it's been about 7 years with NRMA.
Really happy with the cover for the ute though $8K coverage for not much more than the cost of third party property.
Regards,
Tote

Shannons are the best and especially for modded cars.
Easy to deal with also.

RACV. No probs with mods (to a point I think) but I have never made a claim so I dont know what they're like with them.

RACV - Have made two claims.... My car got written off and two weeks later was driving a brand new one out of the car yard. Have no probs with mods, however they cracked it when i got my AUII XR6 Ute and said without thinking that it had a Roll Bar on it. I rang back and spoke to someone else, said I had a 'Sports Bar' and no problems.

I'm with AAMI. Never had a problem with them. Also found they gave me the best deal. Beat NRMA by at least $600 each time. Green slips were cheaper aswell.

Customer service is great. Never had to speak to a computer. Always speak to a real person and never on hold for a great deal of time.

i agree, my whole family is with Budget and they have always given us the best price... my dad made a quote once and had no issues whatsoever. only thing is you have to be 30 years of age to insure a stock xr6.. go fig.

Ryno Insurance - no problems and great customer service/ competitive price. Fortunately haven't had the pleasure of claiming.

AAMI is great till you do more than 1 mod...as soon as you hit 2 mods, they won't insure you, they reccommend Just car, cause they underwrite it. Otherwise Shannons.
