a little, but was worth it. i had an old lower airbox that i had a 80mm hole in b4 this one, so i used that as a template. i had to cut about 30mm off the end of the f6 intake and angle one side for the slope of the au front and that was about it. once i was happy with it, i made a cardboard template and traced it onto the good airbox and then cut it out with a mini hacksaw and used a file to smoothen it up. all up it took about 2hrs and im happy with the end result. looks factory and neat.

had it out once in the day and once at night. there is a slight increase in the intake noise (but thats a good thing) and it feels like it has a better throttle response and a slightly better pick up.

i toyed with this idea of fitting the whole thing, but after a trial fit with a friends ba air box, it was too much stuffing around to mount the maf onto the airbox lid.
