Tawny Frogmouths, Coolamon. They breed nearby and the adults are often seen with a couple of juveniles.

My 2014 CX5 reached a significant mile stone, or km peg, today

and it got a birthday, new wipers, new iridium plugs, new air filter and new cabin filter.
Looks like it's never been done, I always overlook it.

I'm volunteering at the Auto Museum in Perth and have Daniel Ricciardos own F1 car on display.
Today I gave it a good clean with a micro fibre cloth to get the dust off.
The paint is gorgeous.
Fun fact, the front wheels don't have an axle, there's about 6 carbon fibre blades instead.
The amount of wings and flutes on this car, even 2 over the exhaust directing it upwards.

Earning the midnight boil; refitting a few more bits to Monsieur Pauvreté. Note the socket on a wheel nut, I thought it prudent to check all torques after it’s been in someone else’s hands. Two nuts out of twenty - ten percent - were modestly low.

I like the spanner set you have magnetically attached to the hoist. Great idea that. I also think I recognise them as a Jimmy brand spanner. Is that correct? As they feature 2 different sized ring spanners per end... so for those that don't know... You have four sizes in one spanner.

Cheers,

Thanks for the pick.

P.S. Don't know how you were going to do any torquing on the front wheels while it's in the air...

It’s the most “productive” of four hoists; everything commonly used is within a few metres of the car - even oil, screenwash and coolant. I’m normally at the end furthest from this, furthest from customers, so I don’t put them off when talking to myself.

They might be Jimy spanners, will have to look. There’s magnets on the opposite side holding a hook for a rattle gun, the four common wheel nut sockets and four non-flex head double ring spanners, extra long. That gives the means to do most sump plugs, lower wishbones etc.

Torquing of wheels is done on the ground, I leave the socket on a nut so when walking around the car to check everything else after lowering down, I spot it and am reminded.

My old 'Seasonomometer' plum tree a good way down the road to losing all its leaves. It always gives me a good indication of the season changing,
