How to undo the bolts on the automatic transmisson on the top?
We can't seem to get to the bolts that are on the top of the auto trans! Car is an AU1... Any ideas or suggestions? Car is on gas so pipes running everywhere.... : |

undo the rear gearbox mount then let it droop down.. then get about 10 extensions and you will be able to reach them from underneath at the back

A universal joint straight after the 19mm socket helps too, best way I have found is for someone to put the socket on the bolt while you lay at the rear of the gearbox where the tailshaft should be and you can get a good swing at it from there.
When reinstalling watch for the metal clip that holds the heater pipe on the drivers side top bolt, it is easy to snag and jam It is a bit hard to align with all the extensions you need so a guy up the front makes it easier, I leave the two 19mm bolts that go through near the dowels at half way around until last so it won't fall down. |

the mob that changed my transmission has a long piece of 6mm rod with the socket and swivel welded to one end and a t handle on the other end,,it worked a treat.

There is a copper pipe thats in the way off getting one off the top bolts off! It's a pain in the arss and its shitting me to tears....Help!
