Default what wiper blades do you use?

I know this may seem like a redundant question but i would like to know what everyone uses. I've tried a few over the years from the el cheapo ones to the more expensive ones and none have really impressed me at all.

I guess they don't seem to follow the shape of the AU's window or something.

So I wanna throw it out to fellow members, what do you guys use?

Cheers

Picked mine up from Ford. Actually weren't too expensive considering the others available on the market, can't fault the quality at this stage.

Cheers

Trico is great..australian made too

i have the funky new style ones on mine which i cant fault at all!
(they have the neoform wiper arms that bend all wierd ways... like on the new navaras and stuff (cant remember what other cars use them)

they dont even miss any of my windscreen that the usual wipers miss in the middle on AUs

Any that uses the soft silicone tip blades, no squeeks and they work great.

we put them on both the fairlanes(debs and mine) and yeah no complaints at all
they replace the entire piece between the wiper arm and the windscreen

I'm suprised so many people even know what brand of wiper blades they use, I bought a set from supercheap a year ago, they wipe rain off my windscreen.

Yeah I know it does seem pretty trivial but it's one of those things where you never think or worry about it till you need them.

Ya can't be serious.........
They wipe rain off.......
Does it really matter.....
When they stop working ya buy new ones....
I must have driven at least a million klms drivin trucks
and they all do the same thing no matter where ya buy em from
so who really cares.

dont know how you can say that 99ghia... the silicon ones i found made a terrible noise when there wasnt quite enough water on the windscreen (most of the time)
unless in a full down pour

where as the rubber ones were usually quieter..

The same thing could be said about wheels or headlights, they do one specific job don't they?

Nice wheels btw why not just use 16 inch steel stockies? You know coz all wheels do is keep the car off the ground...

Sorry, just using your logic...

I never thought too much about it 'til I got the Bosch Aeros, now I'm converted. They look better (just the rubber strip rather than a big headpiece with the blade stuck to it), they perform better, they're silent, and I think they were about $40 as opposed to $20 for standard ones, so for the small price difference, definitely worth it in my opinion.

No not at all. Wheels and headlights change how the car looks.
Wipers don't. How often does a car drive past and you say wow nice wipers.
Different head lights will shine brighter therefore making driving safer
and wheels do alot more than change the look of the vehicle.
They also change the handling and in some cases aid in cooling the brakes,
so when you say you are using my logic you aren't because as I stated
b4 wipers only have one purpose where as wheels and lights have
multiple purposes.

and good wipers means you have more chance of being able to see when its flogging down...whats the difference?

especially with au windscreens as they seem to be a funny shape? as i had all the problems in the world with regular wipers...(i had ford ones on my car which is what they came with and they still missed a whole section....

I agree with Deb and Blackers and co. A good set of wipers are imperative for road safety. To say they all do the same job the same way is just kidding yourself, and if you believe yourself when you say that, well, good on ya.
The Trico ones are the best Ive ever seen, by far.

Better go take off those BA scuff plates, they dont do anything but sit there anyway............

Trico rubber with metal spine inserts for best wipe and quietest operation, only $12.00 from Repco.
They are quiet because they fit the arm properly and do not roll from side to side when the wiper changes direction.
I have tried all the other gimmicky ones (including silicone) but these are the best.
