Hey there,
I just recently bought a 2000 AUII Fairmont Sedan to replace my '95 EF that was written off about a month and a half ago (I'm pretty happy with the 5 year upgrade, seeing as the accident wasn't my fault haha). I'm looking to put some rims on it, but noticed that there is a thin disc that sits between the wheels and the brakes, sort of like a protective cover for the brakes. Is this necessary? What is it there for? I think it'll look pretty bad if that's still there when/if I get rims, is it okay to remove this? Or is there a smaller version of it that won't be seen/can I cut it down? Cheers for the help. |

sounds like the dust cover to reduce brake dust on the rims. Take it off if you don't like it, but I'd hang onto it or chuck em on ebay.

Awesome. Thanks for that guys. They're not exactly thick so I was wondering what they were. Now i know I'll probably keep them on until I get rims, if I do. Cheers again.
