Default AUII Rattle

After years of taking my Falcon back to the dealer complaining about an "annoying" light metalic rattle in the front left hand mud guard without success - would anyone have a suggestion. During the warrantly period, the dealer spent a day disecting the area which helped for a month or two and now its back!!

Wouldn't have anything to do with the charcoal canister mounting or brake lines etc. hitting body? My nephew's EL had a similar noise from the same area and it turned out to be the plastic inner guard lining rubbing on metal frame (it sounded like a metalic ticking noise)...Linz.

I was thinking of the charcoal canister as well ... I know they make a ticking sound sometimes ... but I get a rattle from my power antenna when it is lowered ... doesn't rattle when extended.

Just a manual one that I have tried positioning in various positions - the coax was my initial thought as well

I've had a general check of all items bolted to the guard and they appear quite tight. There was some sort of breather pipe leading from under the air filter that was suposed to be secured above the head light, that had come loose - my joy in finding the cause was soon shattered.

The car does have mud spats fittered and I can almost replicate the sound by pulling it away from the guard and letting go. Wedging it away from the guard with various packing has no effect

Take the mudflap off altogther and see if this fixes the rattle.

Have you checked everything in the engine bay on the left hand side or the likes of sway bar bushes etc.?

Thanks all for your suggestions, I will take another look around tomorrow plus try removing the left hand mud spat. I guess I was hoping for a known fault and cure although with all the time the dealer has spent trying to identify it plus my playing around its not surprising that its back to the elimination process
