My carpet has been rain soaked (in parts) and I'm looking for the best option to clean it.
Do I take it out ? If so how much effort is involved in taking out the carpet in a sedan ? How should I wash it ? Do I get the car detailed ? Any suggestions ???

After you have removed as much water as you can with a wet & Dry vac, place a "damp rid" thingy in the car for a night or two (You can get them from the supermarket).
If you have not seen them before they are a little plastic container that you put special crystals in and it draws all the moisture out of the air....Does a great job. Good Luck. Norton |

If you can get the carpet out, a high pressure cleaner is good. Brings them back like new

Thanks for the suggestions.
I think getting the carpet out is going to be the best bet. I'll wait til the leak issue is taken care of and then pull the carpet out. It could do with a clean.

its not as hard as you would think if you have half an idea how to go about it. its pretty much all seats, your centre consol, scuff plates, and b pillar lower trims. I had to cut a slot down my carpet from the firewill to where it has a hole for the cente consol, cant remember why, But I know it had to be done. also there is a handbrake sensor to undo- (easy as), and a big clip which has 15 - 20 connections, which is also reasonably easy. If I had a spare 5 minutes at the moment, I would do a how to. But I promise all at AFF i will do one as soon as I get the chance!
